Sarah Sundin is a must-read author for my book club. Her latest historical novel set during WWII was a huge hit with my members. If you liked Embers in The London Sky, I have a couple of recommendations for you. If you haven’t read it yet, what are you waiting for! It is so good!

If You Liked . . . A River Between Us

My book club absolutely loved A River Between Us, the Civil War-era historical romance by Jocelyn Green. This book taught our Georgia-based group a thing or two! It is based on the little known capture of Georgia mill workers (mostly women and children) by Sherman’s army who were then sent to spend the rest of the war in the North. Most never returned to their home towns. If you liked it too, here are a few more reading recommendations.

My book club chose Letters from My Sister by Valerie Fraser Luesse for February’s discussion. I loved this book for so many reasons. The relationship between the two sisters is so special. In this month’s installment of If You Liked, I chose other books I loved that featured sisters. I hope you find another book to love.

Veiled in Smoke by Jocelyn Green

My book club read Into The Fire by Irene Hannon for January’s meeting. We liked this fast-paced romantic suspense. If you did too, here are some more reading recommendations for you!

If You Liked . . . Better Watch Out

I loved this month’s book club pick, Better Watch Out by Natalie Walters! It had all the things I could want in a Christmas-y romantic suspense — action and danger, sizzling romance, and all things Christmas. The NYC setting brought back great memories of a trip my husband and I took one December. Plus it added to my bucket list (IYKYK).

Last to Know by Brandy Heineman

My book club read Daughter of Eden by Jill Eileen Smith this month. We haven’t met to discuss it yet, but I am hoping for some lively discussion. The novel based on the Biblical story of Adam and Eve presents some interesting what-ifs. You can read my review HERE.

If You Liked . . . Broker of Lies

A Steven James novel never disappoints! I found Broker of Lies to be a fast-paced, edge-of-the-seat suspense with a chillingly realistic plot. If you liked it too, here are a few more reading recommendations.

If You Liked . . . Roots of Wood And Stone

My book club absolutely loved Roots of Wood And Stone by Amanda Wen. A book that they unanimously dubbed the best book they had read in a long time is a hard act to follow. I had to really put on my thinking cap (am I really that old? LOL) to come up with some more reading recs. I hope you find one to love too.

If You Liked . . . The Best Summer of Our Lives

My book club had mixed feelings on The Best Summer of Our Lives by Rachel Hauck. While I was glad I read it, it is not my favorite of her books. If you did like it, I have some more reading recommendations for you.

If You Liked . . . The One You’re With

My book club liked The One You’re With by Lauren K. Denton. This women’s fiction focused on truth-telling — but not all the characters had the same views on what that entailed. 😉 It certainly created a lively discussion!
