Top 10 Tuesday — Best of 2020

29 Dec

Who knew that 2020 would be such a difficult year? It started out all bright and shiny with the birth of my first grandchild, then a landslide of a lump and a biopsy in February pointed to breast cancer. My surgery and the good news of no chemo or radiation was followed by 15 days to crush the curve. We all know where that went. While life became a bit more normal in June here in Georgia, this year has been filled with anxiety and grief. I am certainly ready for a brand new year!

While I am glad 2020 will soon be in the rearview mirror, I did read A LOT OF GREAT BOOKS this year. I couldn’t whittle the list down to 10, but I did confine it to an even dozen. And that was hard! As always my favorites span a variety of genres — historical, suspense, romance.  I hope you find a book you will love.

Great covers! I wish Georgia would start acting like a “southern” state. Brr! Already tired of winter. Thankfully, it won’t stay cold. But then again, this is 2020! Happy New Year!

So glad for the good outcome of the cancer surgery. I love that series from Roseanna M. White. I have State of Lies in my Kindle but haven’t read it yet. I hadn’t heard of the one by Susan Meissner, but I like her books, so I will probably read it at some point. I hope to have a top books of the year post up in the next day or two.

I’m sorry it’s been such a rough year, but I’m glad it’s had some bright spots, too. Finding great books to read definitely counts! Glad you enjoyed all these.

    Happy TTT!

Beckie, congratulations on your great prognosis, and on your grandbaby!! Ours is two and SO much fun. We can all hope and pray for better things ahead–for us, and for them.
THANK YOU so much for including me on this wonderful list of books and authors. It is such an honor and a thrill!

So sorry that your year has had so many ups and downs, though it’s great to hear that you’re doing better! I’ve said it over and over: 2020 has been a rotten year, but at least the books have been good. I’m not familiar with The Haunting at Bonaventure Circus, but I’m adding it to my TBR pile. Love the sound of it.

Hope you get a chance to read it.

2020 has been a challenging year for most, but it sounds like yours had some added challenges.

Collision of Lies and The Fifth Avenue Story Society are also on my list of favorites this year. My list will be posted on my blog tomorrow.

    Happy New Year!
