Because the number of books on my shelf, Kindle, and wish lists don’t equal the amount of free time I have to read, i have *gasp* unread books by favorite authors. Those are the books that whisper the loudest read me as I pass their resting place. Many of the books have been waiting many years; others are more recent additions. Some, when read, will put a finished check mark next to a series. I have every intention of reading them all! That Artsy Reader Girl wants us to fess up this week and share those deserving titles. Have you read any of the books on my list? Tell me which one I should read next.

What books by favorite authors do you need to read?
I, like you, have many wonderful books in my TBR pile(s). Of those cited above, I have read Jocelyn Green’s Mark of the King, which follows a female “criminal” from France to the newly-formed Louisiana territory. Her struggles eventually result in an inspiring outcome. Having been a French major in college and graduate school, I loved reading about French history.
The other one of the above books that I’ve read is Chateau of Secrets by Melanie Dobson. Since I love reading World War II books with a Christian worldview, this one interested me. I’m always amazed and encouraged by the noble efforts of non-Jewish citizens who risked their lives to aid and even house Jewish people fleeing Nazi brutality. This well-written book inspired and encouraged me in the goodness of man in the face of such evil.
Both of these books are historical fiction at its best. Enjoy!
Thanks for the glowing recommendations. I know I need to read these books ASAP. Do you think I can go on a new book fast while I whittle down my TBR pile?
I really enjoyed Chateau of Secrets. I think that’s the only Melanie Dobson book I have read, but it made me want to read more of her books. I also liked A Memory Between Us and Mine Is the Night very much.
Barbara, I finished Dobson’s latest book, Hidden Among The Stars, a few weeks ago. It is now my all-time favorite from her. I highly recommend you check out more of her books. Mine Is The Night has been staring at me from the shelves for so long now. And I know I will love it. Why oh why can’t I find time to read it?! I need to just put it on the review schedule.
Stone of my Accusers looks really intriguing to me. Great post! Here’s my TTT.
Thanks for sharing your TTT link!
Luther and Katarina was an absolutely beautiful, hard to put down story. Portrait of Vengeance was a page turner as well. Lots of great choices on your list!
So glad to hear!
I haven’t heard of most of these authors, let alone read them, but some of these look very appealing. I’ve been loving Elizabeth Byler Younts’ Amish novels lately and I want to try Suzanne Woods Fisher. It seems like she’s a very popular author of Amish books.
Happy TTT!
