Top 10 Tuesday — Books I Should Have Read in 2017

9 Jan

So many books, so little time . . . . That should have been my motto in 2017. Like a child who fills her plate with more than she can eat, I filled my bookshelves with more books than I could read. Am I complaining? Not really. I am a cock-eyed optimist when it comes to books — I am sure that I will one day get all the books stacked around my home read. But for now I give you the Top 10 Books I Didn’t Read in 2017. This is a list of my reading regrets. And I intend to get them read soon. Which one should I start with first?

For other bloggers’ reading regrets, head over to The Broke And The Bookish.

Top 10 Books I Didn’t Read in 2017

Chasing Secrets by Lynette Eason

Death at Thorburn Hall by Julianna Deering

Egypt’s Sister by Angela Hunt

The House on Foster Hill by Jaime Jo Wright

Justice Buried by Patricia Bradley

The Legacy by Michael Phillips

Mark of The King by Jocelyn Green

Maybe It’s You by Candace Calvert

Portrait of Vengeance by Carrie Stuart Parks

Threads of Suspicion by Dee Henderson

Which book should I read first?

don’t remind me! I looked at my writing schedule and won’t be reading anything that’s not on audiobook until… say… October? (cries a little)

I’d be crying too! 🙁 But I’m sure you are reading research books.

I’m with Nicole: Mark of the King! All but one of these are on my list of things that I should have read last year but need to read this year! Dee’s book is at the library ready for me to pick up tomorrow!

I *should* have read Julianna’s and Lynette’s in 2017 too… but I am reading ‘Thorburn Hall’ now and did read “The House on Foster Hill” too. Both are really quite good. Hope you enjoy all of these, Beckie – and happy 2018 TBR-ing. 🙂

Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland.

I have to make sure 2018’s list is not that long!

You need to read all of them but I say Mark of the King and The House on Foster Hill first.

I will be reading Foster Hill in March with my book club. At least that’s one I can mark off!

You’ve got ao many good books here, it’s a tough call. I’m going to have to say Chasing Secrets. I had that one on my TBR stack for too long–it was one of my last books for 2017, and then I wondered why exactly I’d put it off so long–I loved it! Happy reading!

Glad to hear it’s a good book. I love Eason. I know why I have put it off — I say yes to reviews! But I have to — the books are so pretty! Lol!

The Mark of the King by Jocelyn Green. She does a great job researching and sharing French and Louisiana territory history, making the people walk off the page into your heart.

Seems to be the consensus! Thanks for the recommendation!
