First Line Friday — The Highland Heist

Happy Friday! Today I am featuring the newest book in Pepper Basham‘s Freddie and Grace Mystery series, The Highland Heist. This series is delightful — history, mystery, and romance abound. I love that Pepper focuses on married romance — Frederick and Grace never seem to end their honeymoon!

Here’s the first line:

June 23, 1914
