First Line Friday — Night Falls on Predicament Avenue

Happy Friday! Sometimes I love a good spooky story. I started Night Falls on Predicament Avenue by Jaime Jo Wright earlier this week and knew from the first line I was in for a spine chilling reading experience. I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the novel in a couple of weeks, but for now . . .

Here’s the first line:

I can hear the darkness.

When a guest is found dead, the incident is linked to Isabelle’s murder, and Norah and Sebastian must work together to uncover the century-old curse that has wrapped 322 Predicament Avenue in its clutches and threatens far more than death.
