“Shut the door.” A man she didn’t know strolled out of her kitchen, sporting black-framed glasses, a graying goatee and surgical gloves. He held a gun in one hand and a ceramic mug in the other. That had to be the coffee she smelled. He took a sip before placing the mug on the dining room table next to a teddy bear she’d never seen before.
