What a treat! We had a great crowd with several people traveling from other towns in middle Georgia and even one coming from south Alabama to hear Lisa speak.

Lisa shared about the importance of preserving the stories that make up our family narrative. She shared stories from her childhood and those passed on by family members. She also talked about the WPA Federal Writer’s Program which inspired her latest book, The Sea Keeper’s Daughters. After she read from a passage in that book, I am eagerly anticipating reading it and discussing it in October. Thanks so much, Lisa, for sharing not only your talent, but your heart.
