Have you seen those cute letters made from old books? I have seen them at an antiques show and of course from Anthropologie. Most people use old Reader’s Digest books because of the colorful covers, but finding a special book is a great touch too. My daughter, the artist, found a copy of Celestine Sibley’s book, Mothers Are Always Special, and created a wonderful keepsake for me. With Mother’s Day (and Father’s Day too) coming up, Book Letters are unique gifts for your loved ones. Whether you use a colorful book to match their decor or a personalized book to show how much you love them, mother’s will appreciate the time and creativity you used to create their one-of-a-kind gift.
I found some great instructions at Hand Made Mood. Please note that power tools such as a scroll saw or a band saw are involved in this project. If you don’t have your own power saw, you will need to find a friend who does! Power tools not your thing? Then make sure you check out Anthropologie’s site! 😉

That is so adorable! Now to find someone with a scroll saw. 🙂
The saw is a hindrance to me as well. But there are probably lots of them gathering dust in your friends’ workshops! Thanks for stopping by!
