The folks at the CSSF Blog Tour are featuring Stephen Lawhead‘s time-traveling, world-hopping, epic story The Spirit Well, book 3 of 5 in the Bright Empires series. I am currently only 1/3 of the way through the book (travel for my MIL’s surgery and some health issues of my own have slowed me down), but I am really enjoying this book. I love, love, love the character of Mina and am glad she has such a big role. I will be back on Wednesday with a full review of the book. In the meantime, check out the blurb below (courtesy of CBD), the many links of the book and series, and of course the links to those on the tour. There are always lively discussions and varieties of opinion, so be sure to visit as many of the blog tour hosts as possible!
Kit Livingstone is on a quest for the ultimate treasure—a tattooed map to an alternate universe! When he witnesses Arthur Flinders-Petrie carry his dead wife into a pool of light—and emerge with her alive—Kit wonders if The Spirit Well is the secret of the map. And if it is, can Arthur’s ruthless great-grandson be far behind?

Praying you and your MIL both make a good recovery!
Thanks so much. She is doing great. Already negotiating to leave my BIL house to go home early! I am doing better as well. MS relapse — 1st in a long time, but minor.
Enjoy the last 2/3 of the book definitely worth the work! Praying you all will be feeling well soon!
Thanks for the prayers. All doing well. And I finished it last night — really good!
