I Am A Reader, Not A Writer and vvb32reads are hosting the Jane Austen Giveaway Hop. There are lots of bloggers out there giving away all things Austen! Click HERE to find out more.
I am giving away a hardback copy of the Pride and Prejudice sequel, Desire and Duty by Ted and Marilyn Bader. And as a bonus, I have a regency era mystery (Chameleon by Jillian Kent) to go along with the Austen sequel. To enter, leave me a comment stating your favorite Jane Austen novel or sequel.
Set in the years 1805-1815, Desire and Duty tells the romantic adventures of Mr Darcy’s beautiful, shy, devout younger sister, Georgiana.
It is a fast paced book for which the movie rights have been sold to Big Star Motion Pictures. It is accompanied by historical notes and relates the information that Jane Austen herself wished in a sequel.
Winner of three literary awards:
1998 Small Press Book Awards-First Place-Romance
1998 Colorado Publisher’s Silver Award for Fiction
Inclusion in 1998 Reading Group Choices
Lady Victoria Grayson journeys to London for the first time in her adult life after battling an illness that kept her homebound for years. She is embroiled in a hornet’s nest of intrigue when her brother is called upon to treat a Member of Parliament after a brutal attack.

I love all her works…my favorite depends on my mood…
Persuasion,Emma and Pride and Prejudice are my top 3
definitely pride and prejudice mrsbrinius at comcast dot net
My favorite Jane Austen novel is Sense and Sensibility. I love the sisterly bond and the differences in their approach to life and personalities.
My favorite “sequel” is actually a retelling. The Fitzwilliam Darcy, Gentleman series by Pamela Aidan retells Pride & Prejudice from Mr. Darcy’s point of view, and it’s PHENOMENAL.
I love that one too.
