Back To The Books Giveaway Hop

31 Aug

I Am A Reader Not A Writer and Buried In Books are hosting the Back To The Books Giveaway Hop.  Over 300 other blogs are offering great giveaways of books and bookish items.  Just click on the image above to check them out.

To go with the Back To The Books theme, here are 3 classes you can register for.  Each class has a book that is required reading that will be given away to a lucky student.  You can register for 1, 2 or all 3 classes, but you can win only 1 book.  So 3 books — 3 winners.  I will pick the winners using a random number generator.

History 101 — America in The Roaring Twenties: Baseball, Flappers and Romance

Required Reading — Lilies in Moonlight by Allison Pittman

The Roaring Twenties are anything but carefree for disfigured veteran Cullen and his senile mother, Betty Ruth—until fun-loving flapper Lilly scales a wall and falls face-first onto their property! When Betty Ruth prophesies that Cullen will be healed if he returns to his first love—baseball—the three embark on a winning journey of faith.

Psychology 101 — Forensics And The Art of Getting Your Man!

Required Reading:  Murder, Mayhem and A Fine Man by Claudia Mair Burney

For Amanda Bell Brown, turning 40 isn’t hard—it’s murder! All she wants is to enjoy her favorite TV crime show. But instead she’s investigating her own mystery, including two corpses, a hunky detective, a madman, and a gorgeous red dress. Can Amanda save the day, keep the faith, and snag a good man?

Science 101 — A Little Physics, A Little Geology, A Whole Lot Of Suspense

Required Reading:  Maximal Reserve by Sam Batterman

Petroleum engineer Phil Channing has only been employed a week when he uncovers the largest oil reserve in history. Using the research of a recently murdered friend, Phil discovers the secret to drilling for it lies in lava tubes under the Dead Sea. But will this knowledge throw off the world’s balance of power?

To enter, leave me a comment on which class(es) you want to sign up for. And don’t forget to include your email address in the body of the comment so I will know how to contact the winners.  The winners will be posted here on September 8th.
