My book club read Life Flight, the first book in a new series by Lynette Eason. She is a favorite of my group, and this book did not disappoint. We generally don’t have a lot of discussion with a romantic suspense, but this book made us delve into the criminal mind(s) of the characters. One of our members couldn’t read it at night because of the creep factor. 😉 We all enjoyed it!

My Impressions:
If you want a lot of action in your romantic suspense, then Life Flight by Lynette Eason is a sure bet! The novel is so packed with suspense, that it is a wonder that main characters Holt and Penny had a chance to develop their relationship. LOL! Seriously, this book was unputdownable!
The action begins with a medical helicopter transport making an emergency landing on a mountain outside of Asheville, NC. Add to that a storm and an escaped serial killer, and I could not keep the pages turning fast enough. There are plenty of twists to keep the characters (and readers) on their toes. And there is a definite creep-factor as well. My book club read this novel and we had lots to talk about — mostly about the serial killer. It really piqued our interest of the hows and whys. We generally love a romantic suspense, but few have generated the long discussion we had about Life Flight. One note: one of our members had nightmares, so be careful reading it at night. Alone. In a house with bumps and creaks. 😉
My group and I really enjoyed this book. We are looking forward to more in this fast-paced series.
