Top 10 Tuesday: 2016 Releases I Didn’t Read (But Should)

10 Jan

My TBR pile has reached staggering heights since I started blogging. Is it possible to have too many books? I think the problem is really not enough time to read — stuff like laundry and work just keeps getting in the way! In an effort to read what is on my shelves in 2017, I am practicing saying no to shiny new books. We’ll see how long that lasts. 😉 In the meantime, here is a list of the books that were released in 2016 that I failed to read, but really, really plan to. Can we put a freeze on 2017 releases until I get caught up?

For other bloggers woefully behind on their reading, check out The Broke And The Bookish this week.

Have you read any of these 2016 releases?

Which one should I read first?

I really enjoyed Lead Me Home. It’s the only one on this list I have read.

It looks great. I hope to get to it soon.

Why, Lead Me Home, of course! (And much obliged if you do!)

It’s up towards the top of the pile ;)!

I loved Delilah and the Inn Keeper of Ivy Hill. Can’t go wrong with either one of those.

Bathsheba was good, and I have Esther on the shelf as well. So many books . . . .

I got Sins of the Past last year, too, and haven’t read it yet – unusual because usually any book by Dee Henderson is put on the top of the to-read pile. I think I was trying to catch up with reading challenges and didn’t get to as many of the books that were new to me last year. But I am definitely getting to it this year!

I haven’t read Michael Phillips in a very long while, but I’ve heard The Cottage by Phillips was good.

I really liked The Inheritance by Phillips. Looking forward to revisiting the Shetland Islands. Sins of The Past is a must read for me too — all excellent authors.

I haven’t read any of these titles but a few of the covers look interesting. I like the look of The Cottage.

The Cottage is book 2 in a series. The first book, The Inheritance, was excellent.

The only one I have read is The Innkeeper of Ivy Hill, and it was great. I am reading The Inheritance, and I am pretty sure if I had finished that one, I would say read The Cottage first. But for sure, finish the list.

I loved The Inheritance. Glad you liked The Innkeeper. It looks like it will be a great read.

Ahh! I spy some favorites. 🙂 Julianna’s is so good (as usual) and makes me all the more excited for her next Drew and Co. mystery. Also enjoyed the final books in Susan’s series, and am now ready to read more from her new years and her first INDIE series too! 🙂

Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland, Beckie.

I’mm thinking Julianna’s is up next. That way I will be ready for the next book in the series.
