Mailbox Monday, er Tuesday

Welcome To By The Book And Mailbox Monday!

Another Monday, Another Mailbox!! This is a feature where we all share with each other the yummy books that showed up at our doors! WARNING: Mailbox Mondays can lead to extreme envy and GINORMOUS wishlists!!  Mailbox Monday was originally hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page, but is now a traveling meme. For the month of June your new host for MM will be Bluestocking Guide.

I was without a computer yesterday — really long story.  So I didn’t get to post anything for this weekly meme.  But I am back today, so here are the books that arrived at my home last week.

From New Hope Publishers

Red Ink by Kathi Macias.  What would you give up for the gospel? Though raised to follow the party line, Zhen-Li marries a Christian—and adopts his faith. When she becomes pregnant for the second time, her family has her kidnapped and the baby aborted. Will Zhen-Li live up to her name— “Truth”—and stand for Christ, no matter the consequences?

A Passion For Purpose by Kimberly Sowell, etc.   God has given you a mission, to make His kingdom known in your life and the lives of others. A Passion for Purpose offers 365 daily devotions to nurture, prepare and encourage you right where you are. Whether you’re a full-time mom, missionary or executive you’ll benefit from these nuggets of inspiration and be better equipped to use your passion for God.

From Ambassador International:

Your Money & Your Life by Mark Ashe.  This book lays out Ashe’s Thirteen Guiding Principles for Financial Independence.  Not a get-rich-plan or a promise of instant results, Ashe does believe that following these 13 steps will lead anyone down the road to wealth.

The Race:  Run Like A Champion by Sammy Tippitt.   This book chronicles Tippitt’s journey into a healthy lifestyle, using God’s word fas his source of inspiration.  The Race highlights metaphors and wisdom for athletes from the Bible.

So glad you were only gone for a day. You snagged some really great books this week. The devotional A Passion For Purpose is one I will have to look for, I really enjoy devotionals and have started a collection of them! Fingers crossed that you have no more computer issues :).

My main computer is still in little pieces on the kitchen table. My son’s old macbook is at the dr. and I am relegated to his new macbook — when I can get to it! I will be out of town next week and don’t know if I will have my laptop or a computer available. I am already experiencing withdrawal symptoms ;). I do have a bunch of posts ready to go, just not sure I will be able to comment or browse other blogs.

I am getting some devotions too. This one really looks good. I am meeting two of the authors next month so I will get back with tidbits from them.

      Have a great week.
